Farmers waiting for fields to dry up may want to take the time to send in samples from the crops they have harvested for the Canadian Grain Commission’s Harvest Sample Survey.

The Twylla McKendry with the Commission's says it’s a voluntary program that allows producers to submit harvest samples for analysis.

The Commission uses the information gathered to create marketing information for our domestic and international customers to determine the quality and quantity of this year’s crop.

Producers who didn’t receive a Harvest Sample Kit can pick up the envelopes from their primary elevator.

Farmers have until Friday, November 1 to submit their grain samples for the program.
