The Bow Valley Grizzlies are expecting stiff competition this Saturday afternoon (June 22) in their second home game of the season against the undefeated Calgary Canucks.

With some players with other commitments, Grizz head coach Tyler Hawes says their depth will be tested.

"This weekend it comes down to a few people injured and a couple of players away playing rep rugby so we'll see how it plays out Saturday. We'll have a shorter bench, so I guess it will check the depth of our club."

The Grizz are fifth in the 11-team Div. 2 league and have a 3-1 record. Their lone loss was a 30-21 decision against the Hornets.

Tonight the Div. 3 Bow Valley/Foothills Lions team (Babas) is playing the Hornets at Wylie Athletic Park in Okotoks. Coming into the game, the Babas have a 2-2 record and are coming off a 44-24 loss to the Irish.
