While Stampede celebrations continue to rave on in Cochrane, one of the most touching was held at the Big Hill Lodge on June 8.

For the first time in over three years, they welcomed family and friends to the lodge for their long-held tradition of a Stampede BBQ.

To the delight of Big Hill Lodge manager Sandra Robin, there was a full house of people sharing stories, laughs, and exchanging plenty of hugs.

"This was the first event where we've had families and friends back in for a big party," says Robin, "We've missed it for the last few years, so it was really important to have the party so we could reconnect with our larger family."

Among them were multi-generational families like that of John Duhault, who came with many other family members to visit their baba in her new home.
