The USask Huskies are heading to the consolation side of the USports Women's Hockey Championship after a loss last night in their opening game. 

The top-ranked Concordia Stingers shut out the Huskies 4-0 in the opening quarterfinal game of the tournament being hosted in Saskatoon. The Waterloo Warriors beat the St. Francis Xavier, 6-1, in the other quarterfinal.

The Huskies meet St. Francis Xavier in a consolation semifinal Saturday at 10 a.m.

Concordia plays the Warriors in the semifinals later that day.

Cochrane's Kara Kondrat is in her final season with the Huskies.
