Cochrane's Kara Kondrat had a part in the Saskatchewan Huskies' bronze medal win at the U Sports women's hockey championship in PEI.

The Huskies beat the University of New Brunswick Reds, 2-0, in the game yesterday after falling to the Concordia Stingers in the semifinals by the same score.

Prior to that, they beat the Brock Badgers, 4-1, in a game that saw Kondrat name the team's top performer. She had a goal and assist, four shots on net, and a +2 rating in the game.

In yesterday's bronze medal game, she assisted on the Huskies' first goal.
