The third Cochrane Wide Clean Up will be occurring this Saturday (May 13) from 10 a.m to 12:30 p.m.

Cochrane Wide Clean Up will see 12 stations set up around Cochrane from Sunset to Riversong area where residents can pick up bags/gloves and drop them off for pick up.

Tim Giese co-organizer shares it's important to keep our community trash free.

"It is important to bring back the town to a nice standard. The winter takes its toll, as you can see there's garbage and litter everywhere; it's a way for people to help make Cochrane look really nice again and take pride in your community."

With more complaints on social media this year about trash and litter collecting, Giese is hoping to see more community members pitch in even for a short time.

"We're not asking for much that's the beauty of this program. If you want to go out for a half hour go out for a half hour, if you want to go out for two hours we will provide materials. There is a central pick up and central drop off in many communities across town."

Many hands can help make Cochrane the cleanest town in the west and children are more than welcome to help out.

"Take pride in your community, this community is for everybody so whether you can offer a half hour or a few minutes and your whole family comes out that will all help, every piece that we pick up will make Cochrane look that much nicer.

Another clean up of the dog parks 'Poopapalooza' will also be taking place from 10 -1, and that information can be found here.
