There's a big weekend ahead for Cochrane two summer league minor ball teams.

The Cochrane Crush AA major and AA minor teams are heading to their respective provincial/prairie championships this weekend.

The Peloton Majors are coming off a highly-success series of weekend tournaments coming into the Little League Prairie Sectional Championship that is being hosted in neighbouring Calgary. Their first game in the Tier 1 championship is late Friday afternoon at Optimist Park, just off the Sarcee Trail. That's followed by two games on Saturday and one Sunday. Playoff action follows on Monday.

The team was 15-2 in provincial play and 17-6 overall on the season to date.

The Crush AA Minor team is in Medicine Hat and will be competing for the provincial tier 2 title.

Both hosted weekend tournaments here during the course of the summer season. Last weekend, it was the Majors' turn. They went 4-0, starting with a narrow 4-3 win over Calgary South. They also beat North Regina, Medicine Hat and Chinook West.
