A lot of infrastructure improvements are proposed in the 2020 town budget draft.

Last night, Corporate Services Sr. Manager Katherine Van Keimpema provided council with a brief overview heavy in capital expenditures. The budget draft presented to town council last night included $40.1 million in capital projects. Should it be approved, owners of an average single-family dwelling will pay $66 more per year in municipal taxes.

According to Van Keimpema, 2020 will be one of the larger capital project years for the community.

Public consultation begins today for the next couple of weeks. After that, council will be reviewing it in detail, November 18-19.
