Ocgrow-SLS Centre teaming up to host events

It won't be long before more details will be released on a series of community events that are expected to result from a strategic partnership between the Ocgrow Group and the SLS Centre.

Ocgrow is the largest developer in the new Greystone community that's rapidly taking shape next to the SLS Centre, making this a natural team-up for joint ventures.

"We would have a lot of members for their facility being able to walk over a block, two blocks away," says Ocgrow Group CEO Harish Consul. "So it's a great partnership and we're planning several co-marketing events together."

Besides their close proximity, Consul says the two entities are community-focused.

"There'll be a variety of community events run at different times of the year, summer, Stampede, over the holidays coming up, so we'll be announcing a lot of that together. I don't want to preempt our plans, but they're all really community-focused, and they share our vision."

Ocgrow is gearing up to break ground on some of their projects this month.

"We have a new discovery centre opening as well, and so we're planning a big launch in September."

Soon, of course, our multifamily projects, Vertos and Terez are moving forward, so it's it's very exciting to have a mixed-use sort of live work, play community all right there."

SLS Centre CEO Erin Wagner says they welcome the new strategic partnership.

"We look forward to having a continued positive impact on our entire community and welcome the opportunity to provide excellence in recreation to the new Greystone development. We are excited to see the transformation of our neighboring space.”

First on the horizon is a September grand opening for the community's development.

Ocgrow is holding a ground-breaking ceremony for its Vertos development which will consist of 150 townhouses in Greystone.
