Old Cochrane RCMP detachment to close permanently this week

Members from the Cochrane RCMP will be on the move this week. 

The old detachment at 359 1st Street East will be closed to the public from Wednesday, June 14 to June 16, 2023.

On Monday, June 19, officers will begin their shifts at the new building at Clydesdale Avenue in Heartland. 

Mounties are ensuring the public that there will not be a disruption to service during this period. Phone lines will still be in operation, as well as 9-1-1.

Cochrane RCMP officers will still be working during this timeframe and available to respond to calls. 

Construction on the new building began in May 2021 with a budget of $23 million.
