The Rocky Rams tied up their semifinal series against the Cochrane Generals in overtime to set the stage for Game Three tonight in Cochrane.

Last night, goalie Zaiden Hansen was bombarded with 60 shots and turned away all but two of them in the Rams 3-2 win. It was Caleb Andrew that scored the winner.

Patrick Forde and Dagan Kadlec scored for the Gens, both assisted by Tristan Ripplinger. Kyle Crosbie also earned an assist on the Forde goal.

The Rams lost 10-3 in the series opener after struggling in the third stanza. The Gens had a 5-3 lead going into the period and exploded with five goals when the Rams shortened their bench, perhaps a bit too much.

Gens head coach Kurtis Jones doesn't normally get nervous before a game but said he was for the series opener.

He says the Rams tend to sit back and wait for mistakes, then capitalize on them.

It worked for them when they were the underdog in their opening series against the Sylvan Lake Wranglers.

"That's their game plan. If you look at their lineup, and you look at our lineup, apples to apples, oranges to oranges, they don't compare on paper. But I give Rocky a lot of credit, they work hard. When you make a mistake, they pounce on it, and they can score."

The puck drops tonight at 7:45 p.m. in the Cochrane Arena.
