Cochrane RCMP is looking for any information related to a report of child luring in Sunset Ridge. 

On May 30, 2022, at approximately 5:20 p.m. An 11-year-old female was walking home in the area of Sunset Park and Sunset Way. The girl was then approached by a male. The man asked if she wanted to get into the back of his van and stated he owns an ice cream business. The female quickly made a pretend phone call to her father and left the area.

The male suspect is described as 40-50 years old with a medium build and a potbelly. The suspect had shaggy brown hair which looked dyed and was wearing a red and blue flannel shirt and jeans

The suspect’s vehicle is described as:

·         A white, full-sized van

·         Potentially has a black roof rack

·         Rusted wheel wells
