Shortly after noon today (April 5), Cochrane RCMP responded to call of a robbery with a weapon in Bragg Creek.

The Bragg Creek Pharmacy was targeted by an armed suspect who fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash and other undetermined items.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 20-35 years old, slender build, roughly 5'6, wearing a dark hoodie, light coloured toque, carrying a black backpack.

Constable Cary Moore says RCMP are asking for public assistance in locating the suspect.

"If you do see someone fitting the description to call 911 immediately, not to approach the person at all, it is believed he has a weapon."

The clerk was not harmed in the incident and the investigation is ongoing. If you have any information call the Cochrane detachment at 403-851-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
