The Canmore RCMP have reached out to the public for assistance in locating a Calgary man who was reported missing on Aug. 10 at 4:18 p.m.

They are attempting to locate 24-year-old Liam Williams, of Calgary.

Liam is described as:

  • 5 foot 11 inches and 140 pounds
  • Slim build
  • Light complexion
  • Brown hair and blue eyes

His vehicle was located abandoned near the Harvey Heights turn off on Hwy. 1, near Banff Park gates. Personal belongings believed to his were located during the night in the Bow River near Bridge Road in Canmore.

Canmore RCMP, Kananaskis Mountain Rescue, Alberta Conservation, Cochrane Search and Rescue, Alpine Helicopters are assisting with the search.
