Attendance was strong and feedback generally positive at the Town's Open House to review plans for the James Walker Trail Alignment and an undeveloped road closure application .

Riley Welden, Senior Town Planner, says the purpose of the event was to show Town residents the proposed road changes as well as some of the land use plans for the Riversong and River Heights areas.

Approximately 80 town residents attended the Open House held at Cochrane Toyota on Wednesday night.

Welden says that general feedback about the trail alignment and road closure was positive.  Welden adds that " the feedback forms collected at the open house will be  consolidated and then be brought forward to council".

The next step for the Planning Department is to formalize the road closure bylaw and present it to council, possibly at the last meeting in April.

As for the James Walker Trail alignment, Welden notes that the town is in the process of securing the road right of way.
