The rockslide that happened on Hwy 97 in British Columbia just north of Penticton remains closed to traffic.
It's been over a week since the rockslide shut down the highway and it looks like it will be some time before it's reopened.
The rockslide happened on Monday, Aug. 28 at approximately 2 p.m. with about 3,000 cubic metres of rock tumbling down.
The detour routes for now include gravel roads and Drive B.C. have provided maps for alternate routes for travellers and commercial traffic.
They also remind drivers to fuel up before taking a detour, bring extra supplies of food and water, and encourage you to drive during daylight hours.
Cellphone service is also nonexistent or very spotty.
The latest information is they're working on reopening one lane of traffic by the Sept. 16-17th weekend.
