A woman from Rocky View County who is facing charges of attempted murder will have a month-long psychiatric evaluation to determine whether she is fit to stand trial.

The 72-year-old was arrested last week after Cochrane RCMP members were called to a local home following a disturbance.

Rhonda Campbell was then charged.

The victim, reported to be her husband, was seriously injured and taken to hospital in Calgary.

The case is set to resume in Calgary court next month.
