Help is sought in locating a cargo trailer that contains the personal effects, including firearms, of area residents in the midst of moving.

The  Airdrie Rural RCMP received a report today of the theft from a parking lot on Railway Street and Osler Avenue in Crossfield. Unknown suspects detached the trailer from the truck, attached it to another truck, and departed with it. 

Personal documents, furniture, tools, a drum set, and two gun safes were contained within the trailer. Eighteen firearms were locked inside a gun safe.

RCMP believe the theft occurred between the hours of 2 and 4 a.m. this morning (Apr. 21). They are asking anyone with video surveillance to contact them at 403-945-7267 or to email the footage to tyla.gaub@rcmp-grc.gc.ca
