Rocky View County (RVC) Council has appointed Dorian Wandzura as the new Chief Administrative Officer of the County, and he'll be stepping into his new role effective on May 2, 2022.

In a release, Rocky View County Mayor Don Kochan says he's confident that Wandzura's past leadership experience and skill set will be a valuable asset to RVC.

"Mr. Wandzura has been guiding and supporting sizable public and private organizations, as well as numerous municipalities to refine their governance structures, create and implement strategic plans, develop and streamline operational efficiencies, and offer overall support to elected officials, Boards of Directors, and senior administrative leaders," explains Kochan. He continues to say "Mr. Wandzura has a solid understanding of leadership and local government best practices along with the right mix of education and hands-on experience."

With nearly 30 years of experience, Wandzura has been serving in a senior leadership capacity within both the public and private sectors.

He climbed the ladder in many progressive and complex municipalities throughout Saskatchewan, as a designated engineer and operations professional before taking on the position of Deputy City Manager and Chief Operations Officer with the City of Regina.

Previous, to this appointment, Wandzura was recruited to the City of Edmonton to work as a member of the senior leadership team before moving into a full-time consulting role with his own company.
