There's more positive news coming from Airdrie hockey player Ryan Straschnitzki.

Straschnitzki posted a video to Twitter Tuesday showing his talking his first steps with his new walker.

In the tweet, which has received thousands of likes and shares, Straschnitzki said he's still trying to figure out the best method for the walker but things can only get better from here.

Straschnitzki has constantly provided updates on his progress and his journey through Sledge Hockey.

Back in June, he shared a story and photo with the Canadian Press as he was able to fully stand with the help of his physiotherapists.

The 22-year-old Airdronian was one of 13 survivors of a tragic bus crash that killed 16 members of the Humboldt Broncos Hockey team in 2018.
