Poppy Chairman Dave Usherwood says he continues to be wowed by the generous support received by the residents of the greater Cochrane area.

Heading into the final day of the 2019 Poppy Campaign, he says contributions seem similar to, if not higher, than last year. The funds collected stay in the community to aid local veterans and valued local causes.

“Every year I’m overwhelmed by the generosity of the community,” says Usherwood. “We are extremely appreciative of the ongoing support. We can't thank you enough."

Saturday is the final day of army and air cadets will stations at key downtown locations with poppies. They will be located Canadian Tire, Mark’s No Frill’s, Safeway, Save-On-Foods, the SLS Family Sports Centre and Walmart.

Numerous other retailers also have poppies available.
