It's September in Alberta, so I guess we shouldn't be too surprised to find snow.

Summer-like temperatures were quickly left behind this Labour Day long weekend when temperatures plummeted on Sunday and Monday.

Snow fell in several parts of the mountains, covering trails and some ski hills including Lake Louise.

Coincidentally, today is the sixth anniversary of that massive snow storm that hit the Cochrane and Calgary area back in 2014, damaging countless trees, cutting off power and costing millions to clean up.

Cassidy Bravo went out for a hike on Labour Day Monday, up to Rae Glacier in Elbow-Sheep Wildland Provincial Park and came across these winter wonderland sights near Elbow Lake.

Were you out camping or hiking in the back country this long weekend in the snow? Send us your photo's or share them on our Facebook page.
