The Rockyview Silvertips are on fire with their fifth straight win and third of the week, while the Rockyview Rage winning streak has been snuffed.

The Tips won all three games in a homestand at the SLS Centre, wrapping it up with an 11-5 win yesterday over the Red Deer Rampage to rise to first in the central division of the Jr. B T1 standings.

Cole TweitRookie Cole Tweit got the honour of wearing the hat. He scored his first goal in tier one on Sunday afternoon.

Thursday, they melted the Calgary Chill, 15-6, and tamed the Mountain View Mavericks, 12-8, in a Saturday matinee.

They're here Saturday night for a rematch with the Chill in their lone game of the week.

The Jr. B T2 Rage weren't able to figure out the Strathmore Venom in their second match-up of the season, but it wasn't from lack of trying. The Venom won 7-4 and beat the Rage earlier in the season.

Still, it's a tight race in the Tier 2 south division with just one win separating second from fifth. First, though, is firmly in the hands of the Cranbrook Blackwolves, who are a perfect 9-0.

The Rage are on the road Wednesday at the Brentwood Sportsplex against the Wranglers, then return home Friday to face the Axeman.
