The Calgary Stampeders signed a pair of American players this week, with hopes of training camp and a season starting sometime this summer.

They added 27 year old American running back, Brandon Wilds, who's spent the last few seasons chasing the NFL dream with seven different teams.

He hit the field seven times over a couple of seasons with the New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars, but spent his 2019 season with the XFL's Tampa Bay Vipers.

The 6', 220 lb back spent five years at South Carolina.

The Stamps also added 23 year old linebacker, Perry Young from the University of Cincinnati.

He's 5'11" and 220 pounds and managed 269 tackles in four years of College.

He was one of the Bearcats’ team captains as a senior and earned first-team all-American Athletic Conference honours in both 2018 and 2019.

Young recorded 21.5 tackles for loss, along with 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, 11 passes defended and two interceptions including one that he returned for a touchdown during a 2019 game against Houston.
