Team Alberta is a perfect 2-0 in the early goings of the U21 New Holland National Curling Championship being hosted by Fort McMurray.

This morning, Team Wipf beat Ontario's Team Mulima, 9-8, on the strength of three 3-enders.

Last night, they pulled out a 7-6 win against Nova Scotia's Team MacIsaac. Team Wipf was leading 5-1 five ends into the game before the MacIsaac squad staged a comeback to force an extra end.

Tonight, they face the Deschene Rink from Northern Ontario. Both teams are 2-0.

Third Ky Macaulay and lead Max Cinnamon, of Cochrane, are members of Team Wipf that two weeks ago won the Alberta U20 men's championship in Drayton Valley.

A total of 32 teams are competing, with 16 in both the men's and women's divisions. Team Timothy Marin is the other Alberta men's team. The Emma DeSchiffart and Claire Booth rinks are representing the province on the women's side.
