At the halfway point, Cochrane is in a seesaw battle in the ParticipACTION Community Challenge, and local organizers believe we continue to have a good shot at finishing on top.

Brooke Sabourin, SLS Centre program manager, says Cochrane is the most active community, we just need to register our minutes.

"We've been kind of going up and down, but staying pretty close to that fifth, sixth position, but I think we can go even higher. There are a couple of other smaller towns that we can easily overtake."

"We know that Cochrane is the most active community, we just need to prove it, so we're asking everyone to get out, be active, have fun, and track their minutes."

She says it's super easy to add the ParticipACTION app.

"At the SLS Centre, we've been doing our best to track everyone's minutes, but we need everyone else to chip in," she says. "So make sure you download the ParticipACTION app and track your movements every day. It's super easy."

For those who don't want to download the app, there's also a huge whiteboard in the main lobby of the SLS Centre where people can track their minutes.

All forms of physical activity count, from yardwork to that bike ride you took last night.

"There are so many things that keep you active and busy, not just at our facility. We know everyone's out there doing those things, so just download the app, track your minutes, and we'll see our numbers rise."

This is the third year Cochrane has been part of the Community Challenge, and the first year it's being led by the crew at the SLS Centre.
