Moviegoers will be forced to make a tough decision for the next free first-run movie day, sponsored by Cochrane Home Treasures, on June 14.

Transformers Rise of the Beast, Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse, Little Mermaid, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie will all be showing at the Cochrane Movie House that evening.

The start times of the movies vary between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The free tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis when the theatre's box office opens this Wednesday, June 7 at 6 p.m.

Cayley Breeze, manager of Cochrane Home Treasures, reminds people the tickets sold out quickly last time. She's encouraging people to get their tickets early to avoid disappointment.

Cochrane Home Treasures is a nonprofit business that uses all of its profits to support community projects. This one fits well within their mission of "Everybody deserves the nice and the necessary."

These days, people are struggling with high costs, and having extra funds for a night out for the family has become much more difficult.

"We wanted to see what we can do for the community to help them have a few of those nice things in their lives," explained Breeze when they established the free movie nights. "One of the things that came up was community movie nights."

Hal Wolfe, of the Cochrane Movie House, too, shares that strong sense of community.

"We were very excited at the opportunity to work with Cochrane Home Treasures," he said. "The fact that they wanted to give back to the community and somehow involve the Cochrane Movie House is incredible. This is the idea that was presented to us, we worked together, and we're looking forward to paying it forward to the community of Cochrane."

It's the second in a series of four free movie nights. The next ones are scheduled for Wed. Oct. 11 and Wed. Nov. 8.
