Cochrane Crush minor baseball teams continue to enjoy a series of weekend tournaments that make up summer play for younger teams in Alberta's Little League.

Last weekend, the minor team hosted seven teams from southern Alberta in their turn as hosts. This weekend, the major team is expecting to see anywhere between 11 and 13 teams here and are adding finishing touches to the schedule.

The Crush Peloton Majors have been having success on the diamonds. Last weekend, they went 3-1. The weekend before they were 4-0 and before that won the Airdrie's Canada Day tournament.

There's a great deal of parity among the teams but Crush Majors head coach Corey O'How says Calgary South has been particularly tough. Both Foothills and the Centennial also look strong.

The season ends with championship tournaments in August for both teams.

Games this weekend will be played at the Matt Krol diamonds on the corner of River Avenue and Riverview Dr.
