Cochrane Classic Bullriding and the Cochrane Ag Society Fair are teaming up on August 19 to provide more chills, thrills and excitement for attendees.

The 17th annual Canadian Professional Rodeo Association sanctioned bullriding event is moving from its previous Lions Club venue to the Ag Society grounds for the first time.

The Annual Bullriding Event draws the top 30 bullriders from across Canada to ride some of the rankets bulls in the business.

Jason Borton, Bullriding Event Organizer, says the move to the Ag Society during their August 18 to 20 Fall Fair makes good sense for both organizations "I saw a really great opportunity to expand the bullriding with the Cochrane Fair, it is a pretty exciting time with the midway and other activities and it would be a great fit for them as well with the Professional Bullriding".

Both organizations feel this is a perfect fit for the bullriding and the fair, and the start of a very successful partnership.

Justin Burwash, Cochrane and District Ag Society President, says they "are very excited about having Cochrane Classic Bullriding at our fair and the value added to both those events is tremendous".

Borton says that after the bullriders have finished and prizes awarded there will be a band playing at the beer gardens and overall it will be a fun, high energy evening for everyone.
