Two moose were spotted this (Wednesday morning) in Cochrane Ranche.

Visitors to the Ranche are being advised to be aware and proceed with caution.

According to Alberta Environment and Parks, typically moose are not aggressive, however, they are wild animals and may display aggression if stressed or protecting their young.

Signs of an aggravated moose include:

  • Hair standing up on the neck or back
  • Ears flat against the head
  • Lip licking
  • Snorting

Keep your distance from any wildlife to ensure your safety.
