A ribbon cutting and community barbeque will be occurring this Saturday (June 10) as the Quarry prepares for the opening of 'Bow Street Common'.

One of last integral components of getting around the development easily, Mayor Ivan Brooker, says it means we are one step closer to finalizing the development.

"The development was supposed to take the better part of ten years and I think the expectation is we will be likely done in about seven because of how successful the project has been to date."

The ribbon cutting and entry feature will hopefully become a gathering place for community members, shares Brooker, "I am looking forward to it. We always wanted that area to be somewhat walkable to the extent that is reasonable, but this feature is going to have a big sitting area and boast some beautiful statues. I hope it becomes a destination to grab a coffee and go sit and have lunch."

Everyone is invited to come to the ribbon cutting in front of the gathering place on Centre Avenue and Bow Street West this Saturday, June 10 for 1:45 pm.
