These almost spring-like temperatures have forced the Town of Cochrane to close the Tim Bannister Memorial Rink temporarily.

"Effective Monday, January 16, Tim Bannister Memorial Outdoor Rink is closed due to warmer weather. The Parks team is actively working to build up the ice surface with additional maintenance." details a social media post put out by the Town of Cochrane.

"Mitford Pond is still open for public skating. These facilities are not supervised and are to be shared by all skaters."

It's typical for the outdoor ice surface to close and reopen throughout the winter months in Cochrane due to fluctuating temperatures.
