The suspect in a shelter-in-place incident from earlier this month is now behind bars.

Residents in Cochrane's Bow Ridge neighbourhood were told to stay inside and lock their doors on the morning of Sept. 11 after RCMP got a complaint that a suspect left his home on a scooter armed with a firearm.

The shelter-in-place order was lifted approximately one hour later but the suspect was not apprehended.

A firearm was seized that day.

Gregory Deviat was arrested in Kelowna, BC on Sept. 20.

The 35-year-old is charged with uttering threats, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, and three counts of fail to comply with a release order.

He is set to appear in court in Cochrane.
