A Nova Scotia man has been charged as the Calgary Police Service continues its investigation into the homicide of Jeremy Boisseau.

Barry Roach, 48, was arrested on Canada-wide warrants on June 19, 2019, at his home in Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia. He was charged with indignity to a body.

The Halifax Regional Police and both Alberta and Nova Scotia RCMP have assisted throughout the investigation.

In October 2018, the remains of Jeremy Boisseau were found in a wooded area north of Waiparous, off Forestry Trunk Road. Investigators believe the homicide occurred between the late hours of Monday, Dec. 26, 2016 and early morning Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, in an apartment in the 600 block of 1 Ave N.E. in the Bridgeland area.

Boisseau’s body was then transported to the Waiparous area.

In May, additional searches took place in a wooded area north of Waiparous that lead to the discovery of further evidence. At that time, police also released photographs of a brown 1990 Ford F250 believed to have been involved in transporting the body from Calgary.

The investigation continues.
