With schools being closed due to cold weather yesterday, it's no surprise that we broke a record that has been standing for 36 years. Thursday, we annihilated the old record of -28.7 degrees, set in 1985, with a temperature of -36.9.

This week has been full of record-breaking cold temperatures, but Cochranites can rejoice! Next week, the polar vortex releases us and we will return to temperatures closer to the 0-degree mark.
