The season has barely started and already, the Cochrane Generals are a strong force in the Heritage Junior Hockey League.

Barely letting the puck in the net last weekend, the Generals breezed through the pre-season with two wins against the Strathmore Wheatland Kings.

Fast forward to Friday, the Generals snagged their first regular season victory, crushing the High River Flyers 7-3.

Among the goal scorers, Talus Hume and Slater Ransom owned the ice with two goals and two assists apiece.

On Saturday, the Generals returned home where they faced off against the Medicine Hat Cubs, skating off the ice with a 5-1 victory.

The Generals' had a strong presence on the ice, tripling the Cubs' shots on net, out-shooting them 58-19.

The Generals will be back in action on Saturday, September 24, in Strathmore to play the Wheatland Kings for a third time.
