Many people around town were surprised to see that the main topic of season five of CBC’s hit show “Workin’ Moms” was actually Cochrane...well sort of.
Titled “The Carlsons Move to Calgary”, the episode takes place in a fictionalized Cochrane, Alberta. While obviously not shot here, the show features an outdoor country club and our very own airport.
I’ll admit, some of their jokes they make about our town are quite funny.
Some of the jokes made about Cochrane include having only one type of coffee shop, our accent and how to properally pronounce Cochrane.
The episode ends with Dani Kind’s “Anne” deciding to stay in town, so we can expect to see more of “Cochrane” in future episodes.
