Cochrane's Dillon Dube has been granted a leave of absence from the Calgary Flames due to mental health concerns. 

The team posted the news to social media on Sunday morning. 

“Dillon is under the care of health professionals, and we request that Dillon’s privacy is respected during this period,” stated the post.

On Saturday night, Dube did not play against the Edmonton Oilers which the Flames lost 3-1.

The 25-year-old has three goals and four assists in 43 games this season.

It is his sixth season with the Flames.
