It’s almost time to bundle up and walk to support the hurt, the hungry, and the homeless in Cochrane

On Saturday, The Coldest Night Of The Year fundraising walk is taking place across the country including a local event in Cochrane hosted by The Helping Hands Society. Registered participants can start checking in at 4 p.m. at Riverfront Park.

On the eve of the event, over 140 walkers have registered to make up 32 teams raising funds for the non-profits' various programs that go right back into the Cochrane community.

There is still time to register for the two or five-kilometer walk and donations can be submitted anytime. Over $30,000 has been raised so far with the ultimate goal of $50,000 in sight.

CochraneNow will also be live on location throughout the evening cheering on all the walkers and blasting the world's best country music.
