Cochrane's Dillon Dube scored his first goal of the season in the Calgary Flames home opener last night.
The Flames went on to a 3-0 win over the Vancouver Canucks and have earned points in their first two games of the season.
Flames goalie Jacob Markstrom was perfect on 32 shots and earned a shut out against his former team. He was also named the first star of the game.
Dube's goal came on a powerplay in the second. Dube blasted a shot past Vancouver goalie Braden Holtby after receiving a backhand pass from Andrew Mangiapane.
The Flames earned a point for their 4-3 overtime loss on the road to the Winnipeg Jets earlier in the week.
A rematch between Flames and Canucks goes Monday night at the Dome. After that, it's a pair of home games against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Jan. 24 and 26.
