The start of November has definitely been one for the books!

Here in Cochrane, we started off the week with temperatures above the 20-degree mark and it's felt like the return of summer for most of Southern Alberta.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Blaine Lowry says this certainly isn't the norm for this time of year and adds that a typical daily high in November is three degrees.

Lowry says that Cochranites will have a couple more days to enjoy the unusually high temperatures and those temperatures will start to drop by the end of the workweek.

"By the time we go Thursday into Friday a northerly flow kicks in and we see the temperatures fall through the day on Friday and by the weekend we have daytime highs likely below zero," says Lowry.

Here in Cochrane, there's a good chance we'll see a return of the white stuff over the weekend.

For now, though, we can enjoy a high of 16 degrees this afternoon and Cochrane is forecasted to reach 14 degrees tomorrow.
