A Cremona man has been remanded in custody and is facing seven charges after pointing a firearm at two Cremona residents while uttering threats.

Didsbury RCMP was called to the disturbance at a Cremona residence around 6:30 p.m. on Apr. 21. The man had departed but was quickly tracked down.

"The subject had threatened to harm two occupants in the house," says RCMP Media Relations Officer Cpl. Tammy Keibel. "Upon attendance, the suspect had left the residence, however, police did locate him a short time later in possession of alleged weapons."

Robert Lakevold has been charged with two counts of pointing a firearm, two counts of uttering threats, two counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, and possession of a prohibited firearm.

His next appearance at Didsbury Provincial Court is Apr. 26.
