Home Treasures is treating Cochrane residents once again to a night of family fun with a free Summer Movie In the Park.

Cayley Breeze, manager of Cochrane Home Treasures said it will be similar to a drive-in movie, but without the vehicles.

"People can come, they can bring their own picnic blanket, they can bring their own chairs. You can grab a seat at Mitford Park in front of the stage where the Canada Day celebrations are held."

Breeze said the days will still be long on July 14, but there will be no issues in seeing the movie.

"We rented a large daylight screen because we know that our sun doesn't set until about 11 p.m. So it should show the picture a bit better than one of the inflatable screens."

They will be showing Sing 2 at 6 p.m. and Spiderman No Way Home at 8:30 p.m.

Food trucks will be on hand so you won't have to go hungry while watching the movies.

Movie goers are encouraged to bring a non perishable food donation for the Cochrane Activettes Food Bank.

This event is weather dependent and Breeze said that if there is a thunderstorm, they will not be able to go ahead with the movie.

The Summer Movie in the Park goes on Friday, July 14 at Mitford Park.

Cochrane Home Treasures continues to give back to the community by offering free community movies at the Cochrane Movie House along with free skating and swimming at Spray Lakes Sawmills Centre.
