The Calgary Flames just upped their chances at getting a spot in the playoffs this season!

Elias Lindholm scored twice last night when the Flames went head to head with their Alberta rivals, and Cochrane's Dillon Dube added another for insurance in the Flames 3-1 win against Edmonton Oilers Thursday night at Rogers Place.

Yesterday's win moves the Flames four points behind the Montreal Canadiens in the race for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Northern Division.

The boys still have some work to do, Edmonton is currently in second place in the North, nine points behind Toronto.

The two teams meet again tomorrow. The puck drops at 8 p.m.
