Due to technical difficulties, the provincial COVID-19 statistics were limited this weekend and only preliminary estimates were available on the Alberta Health Services website.

Over the weekend, Dr. Deena Hinshaw tweeted that a complete and detailed update would be made available later today (Monday, June 28).

No new numbers were updated for any municipalities either. On Thursday, Cochrane had fallen to eight active cases, while Rocky View County reported 16.

Dr. Hinshaw continues to commend Albertans for stepping up to be vaccinated and she encourages all eligible Albertans to book their shots. "Vaccines continue to be our best protection against #COVID19AB, " says Hinshaw. "Thank you to the tremendous number of Albertans who have received their shot so far. Appointments are still available for both first and second doses, so book yours ASAP if you have not already done so."

To date, more than four million doses of vaccine have now been administered provincewide; with 71.3 per cent of eligible Albertans having received one shot and  34.3 per cent are fully immunized with two doses.
