Cochranites got a sneak-peak of the new Ford dealership over the weekend while also having the chance to help youth with mental illness.

The dealership was matching donations for anyone who wanted to put funds towards the new mental health facility that is being built in Calgary.

Northstar Ford Owner Marty Giles is on the board of the Children's Hospital Foundation and says it's been six-years in the making leading up to the ground being broken on the new youth mental health facility.

Giles says "We were going to add a wing onto the Children's Hospital for adolescent mental health and addictions and really we went to the community and the community said we don't really want to go to a hospital. So we changed it up and we're building a new facility in Hounsfield Heights (in Calgary) and it's a $50-million facility."

Giles says the new Ford building in Riversong is the first Canadian version of the new signature building of Ford of Canada and it's built with the customer in mind.

It will officially open on December 2.
