Blake Richards,MP Banff-Airdrie has drafted a letter to Finance Minister Morneau. Richard's compiled a wealth of information that he collected from his constituents in his riding. Information was collected at pre-budget consultations like the one here in Cochrane a few weeks ago. Feedback was also collected online and in written surveys.

The letter says "Canada is only strong when Alberta is strong. The upcoming Budge must move beyond this cycle of deficit spending and instead deliver a plan that moves meaningfully towards balance."

Richards, says the one point made that is glaringly obvious, "There is way too many out work in this province and it shouldn't be that way a lot of the conditions that have created that are government created. We need to see a government policy and action that actually reverses some of that. We got to see pipelines built, we got to see regulatory processes and regulation removed. We've got to see tax reductions, a proper plan to have fiscal responsibility so that we get balanced budgets out of our government in Ottawa."

Richards says the letter written to Morneau is just one of the things that will be done with the feedback and concern he heard from people across the riding. "I will also use the information when I speak in the House of Commons when I question the government when I do all those things to hold the government accountable. This is an opportunity for the government to hear what I gathered directly from the constituents."

Armed with the information he has gathered from Albertan's Richards hopes that the government in Ottawa will listen to his letter and his voice in The Commons.
