More details have been released following a fatal collision involving a motorcycle near Cochrane yesterday.
Emergency crews were called to Lower Springbank Road just before 2 p.m. Thursday when a motorcycle and a car collided.
RCMP say the motorcycle was attempting to pass a vehicle and while merging back in, clipped the vehicle. The motorcycle then lost control.
A 75-year-old man from Rocky View County died in the crash.
No one else was injured.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area for most of Thursday.
"Cochrane RCMP would like to advise the public that Lower Springbank Road has reopened for travel and thank them for their cooperation."
