With just two games remaining before the Christmas break, the Peewee AA Bow Valley Timberwolves remain undefeated in the South Central Alberta Hockey League.

The talented squad of players from Cochrane, Canmore, and Banff has won 17 and tied two so far.

"Some of these kids I've coached since they were four years old, so I'm incredibly proud of all of them," says head coach Kyle McLaughlin.

"One of the strengths of our team is we're very balanced, and we've got exceptional character. We've got highly coachable kids, and above all else, they're really good kids."

That includes a desire to make a difference outside of the rink.

On Dec. 13, they hosted a Battle of the Badges game in Canmore to raise and funds and awareness for "Project All In."

An initiative originating in Canmore and well supported in Cochrane, the Project All In Foundation created a coin to help first responders start conversations about their mental wellness, help debrief calls, and ultimately is a suicide prevention tool.

The game raised over $2,000 for the foundation.

"We're pretty impressive on the scoreboard, but more importantly, these are pretty impressive young men."

The Timberwolves hit the road this Friday, Dec. 20, to take on the Central Alberta Selects, then the Red Deer Motors on Dec. 21.
