"If you do not have to travel, please stay home."
That's the message from the RCMP today after Mounties responded to 52 collisions along the QE II between Calgary and Edmonton yesterday. Three of the collisions resulted in injuries.
There were also additional collisions in other parts of the province.
Police are reminding drivers to continue to expect poor driving conditions as the snow continues to fall.
"If you must travel, RCMP want to advise motorists to use extreme caution, slow down and maintain an increased distance between yourself and other drivers." stated Cpl. Troy Savinkoff.
Roads in and around Cochrane are snow covered today as the Snowfall Warning continues.
